As part of our second anniversary month celebration–yes, why partying a day when you can party a whole month, right?–we are devoting our space during all Saturday the 26th to electronic sounds; from experimental to techno with pop and hip hop deviations. Hold on tight!

A Sol Mechanic
Jah Born & Dj Big Texas
We had a heavy experimental 2016 start with the likes of Bill Nace, Jake Meginsky or Heavy Hymms, now we would like to close this voltaic period with a full day of synthetized sounds as we are moving to warmer territories. Starting around noon, get ready to be absorbed by beats in different natures throughout the whole day, DJs, performances, live bands and experimental acts will take over The Wild Detectives for our Wild Beats electronic festival.
Ronnie Heart (Neon Indian) with full band, will present his long awaited disco synth pop adventure. Sudie will perform stunning and intense electro pop songs from her most recently EP and her new coming album. Jah Born and DJ Big Texas (Cannabinoids) will mix, scratch and sample beats in our backyard. A Sol Mechanic will devise blissful landscapes from LA. All this awesomeness will be tied together by Tempranillo, who will take us on a journey through electro sounds over the last two decades during the interludes and will close the party by midnight.
Ronnie Heart is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and dancer. This charismatic Fort Worthian was the former guitarist of Neon Indian. He was showcased in last year’s SXSW. Check him out in this video, he’s absolutely “amasynth.”
Jah Born is the Grammy Award Winning producer that stamped Dallas on to the map of musical hierarchy by planting the seed of “Neo Soul” into the music industry. He’s worked with names such as Will Smith, Lil Wayne, Raheem DeVaughn, Ice Cube, Scarface or Bilal, but here in Dallas we know him as the tall guy hitting his drum machine as crazy with Erykah Badu & The Cannabinoids. Check out what the Queen of Neo-Soul has to say about the man.
Experimental LA producer, A Sol Mechanic has been described as a ‘Hip Hop Sigur Ros’. He makes beats that are shuffling, melodies that are often buried, but once you unearth them, you are hooked for hours. Mysterious beautiful music.
Sudie blew our minds with her first EP last year. We could only compare her music to artists as personal as Grimes or St Vincent and funny enough she doesn’t sound at all like them, that’s how independent, fresh and genuinely new her music sounds like. She’ll be playing songs of her coming new album at the festival. Check out her performance at SoFar Dallas last year; Heartattack is probably one of the most promising songs we’ve heard in a good while. Raw talent.
From the nights of Madrid we’re bringing our old friend and WD collaborator, Dj Tempranillo to close Wild Beats. He’ll walk us over some of the most exciting electronic works of the past two decades, and you, my friend, will be dancing.
On Saturday the 26th, our backyard will shake. Don’t fight it. Just feel it.
