Waveforms brings improvised soundscapes, altered acoustic and digital sounds, and contemporary forms of electronic composition to Wild Detectives. With a handful of knobs, keys, buttons, and a computer, music will be blended into songs made in the moment, utilizing both traditional instrumental timbres and found sonic elements. The event is intended to be both a performance and an accompaniment to readers, so feel free to come have a drink, grab a book, sit and listen, or all of the above! The music will be performed by Skyler Hill, a composer, guitarist, and improviser based in Denton, TX.
