Welcome back to the Six Foot Love series at The Wild Detectives. A series of live outdoor performances with numbered seats and limited capacity.

A powerful double bill of reeds, brass, bass, and drums jazz-infused trios!
Fire Life Trio is Danny Kamins from Houston with Aaron Gonzalez and Stefan Gonzalez. The Trumpet Assasins are Chris Curiel and Karl Poetschke on trumpets, Clark Walker on drums.



Danny Kamins. An improvising saxophonist based out of Houston, TX. His current musical endeavors include playing in the groups Relative Dissonance, CARL, El Mantis, and Etched in the Eye as well as directing the jazz program at Rice University. Musicians he has performed/recorded with include Tatsuya Nakatani, Alvin Fielder, Ra Kalam Bob Moses, Thomas Helton, Adam Goodwin, Vinny Golia, Garrett Wingfield, Jeb Bishop, Sandy Ewen, Paulina Owczarek, Damon Smith, Luke Stewart.

Aaron Gonzalez. Elder son of the late Dennis Gonzalez and older brother of Stefan. Together, they used to be Yeels At Eels, with just Stefan they are both Akkolyte and both of them plus Gregg Prickett were Unconcious Collective. Also with Stefan but adding the extraordinary portuguese guitarist Luis Lopes and saxophonist Rodrigo Amado they are the Humanization Qtet.

Stefan Gonzalez. Drummer, auxiliary percussionist, and vocalist from Dallas, TX.  Born into a musical family, Stefan was raised around many musicians deeply rooted in the tradition of free jazz, avant garde, and improvised music. Some important bands and projects to note are Akkolyte, Unconscious Collective, Imperial Slaughter, Humanization 4tet (Lisbon/Dallas), and The Young Mothers(Norway, Texas, Netherlands, and Mississippi). Important collaborative musicians to note are Mars Williams, Eugene Chadbourne, Luis Lopes, Rodrigo Amado, Damon Smith, Ingebrigt Haker Flaten, Louis Moholo-Moholo, Famoudou Don Moye, Akira Sakata.



A trumpet duo featuring Chris Curiel and Karl Poetschke.  Both trumpeters play through an array of electronics and effects performing their original soundscapes and improvised music. Each performance will feature a special guest or guests that will join the duo creating a new adventure.  For this performance they will be joined by local freelance drummer Clark Walker .

Chris Curiel. A Dallas native who is a freelance trumpet artist and has been part of the creative music scene in Dallas for over 30 years.

Karl Poetschke. A.K.A on the West Coast as Gabriel Wolf plays the trumpet and works in construction. His past is a mystery.
