Katherine Bourne will join us once again to read to the kids. This time she’ll read from Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson.

Harold and the Purple Crayon is a classic children’s book first published in 1955 that features a calm, upbeat but mostly silent little boy who creates his surroundings with his ever-present purple crayon, with which he makes up his own fun, and even gets scared by some of his drawings.

It’ll be a 25 minute read followed by a short discussion with the kids–that’s going to be interesting, we can’t wait to see what they come up with.

The book is geared for ages 3-7, but all ages are welcome.

On Saturday morning bring your kids and infuse them with a love for reading.
