Event Details

Inner Moonlight is the monthly poetry series for the Wild Detectives! For April, the show will be on the third Wednesday of the month instead of the second! RSVP to meet us in the backyard at 7:30pm on Wednesday April 20 for live poetry from one featured writer, with a brief open mic to follow. Don’t worry, podcast fans! We will record the live show and release it as a podcast episode for y’all. This month we are excited to feature poet Kim Nall!

Kim Nall is a poet and educator from Dallas, Texas. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Texas and is an MFA candidate at Carlow University, where she co-curates and co-emcees the Raising Our Voices Alumni Reading Series. Her work has appeared in Poetry Quarterly, Red Wheelbarrow, and at the Dallas Museum of Art. She was recently named a finalist for the Fingal Poetry Prize (2020) and a semifinalist for the Red Wheelbarrow Poetry Prize (2021).

Inner Moonlight is (usually) presented by The Writer’s Garret on the second Wednesday of every month. Mark your calendar and we’ll see you there!

“Follow your inner moonlight, don’t hide the madness.”
