Women Galore – Carrie & Francine

Event Details

In this play by Ruby Rae Spiegel, Carrie and Francine are trying to navigate the world of 13-year-old girls, dealing with everything from friendship to sex to pop culture. This play premiered in 2011 and was the standout in a festival among work by Neil LaBute and Christopher Durang, according to the New York Times. Directed by Sarah Hamilton for a one-night-only performance, this production by House Party Theatre features actors, Zoë Kerr, Holly Settoon and Sarah Greenman.

Tickets are $5.

Zoë Kerr began acting professionally in 2011 when she originated the role of Floy Kate Landers in Ronnie Claire Edwards’ The Mystery of Miz Arnette, produced by 1:30 Productions. In 2013, Zoë played Grace Westmoreland in the regional premiere of Del Shores’ Yellow. Yellow was directed by Shores and produced by Uptown Players. Her performance in Yellow earned Zoë a Column Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Shortly after, Zoë was invited to perform as part of the first annual One Minute Play Festival, produced by Kitchen Dog Theater. Zoë finished off 2015 by starring in Upstart Productions’ Dry Land and House Party Theatre’s Desire Caught By The Tail. She most recently performed in two shows produced as part of the Out Of The Loop Fringe Festival at WaterTower Theatre

Holly Settoon is a recent graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in theatre. She recently appeared in Aunt Dan and Lemon, Killer Joe, A Map of Virtue, and the world premiere of This Sweet Affliction. She is very excited to be working for the first time with House Party Theatre as part of the Women Galore festival.

Sarah Greenman is a Dallas-based, multidisciplinary artist. She makes paintings but also works as an actor, photographer, writer, blogger, activist, community organizer, urban gardener, parent and Creative Director for Statera Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to gender parity in the arts.
