Former Dallas Morning News Food Editor, Dotty Griffith will be stopping by for a visit at the shop. She will be giving a sneak preview of her cook book The Texas Holiday Cookbook with tastings of her highly acclaimed recipes. Come be enlightened by Griffith as she divulges her culinary secrets of Holiday cooking and grant yourself the opportunity to enjoy some phenomenal cuisine tasting some of her recipes on the spot.
Dotty spent most of her 34-year career with the Dallas Morning News as Food Editor and Restaurant Critic. She’s the author of nine cookbooks – most about Texas-style cuisine. She hosted a radio show about Texas cuisine, In The Kitchen with Dotty, on KRLD radio Dallas. And has written about Texas cuisine for John Mariani’s Virtual Gourmet, the New York Times, Gourmet Magazine, Modern Luxury Magazine Dallas, and Houston Magazine.
A native Texan, she shares her lifelong love for – and intimate knowledge of – Texas cuisines, products, restaurant and chefs with foodies everywhere in print, on the web, live and in person.
Her humorous insights reveal what makes Texas cuisine so big, bold and beautiful. And she can demonstrate cooking well. She’s had extensive television and culinary teaching experience. She demonstrates how to cook Texan with the same enthusiasm and wry observations that she brings to her print and spoken presentations.
