We’ve joined efforts with Klyde Warren Park to bring you the best books by local authors. Introducing the most Dallasite of all book clubs: the LOCALS ONLY book club! A book club at Klyde Warren Park featuring local favorites handpicked by us, The Wild Detectives.
In July, we will be discussing FOR THE DIME, by Kathleen Kent.
Pick your copy and join us, and the author, for an open discussion about the book, at The Dallas News Reading and Games Room in Klyde Warren Park.
Betty Rhyzyk, Brooklyn’s toughest female police detective, relocates to rough-and-tumble Dallas, Texas, where she must contend with a group of unruly subordinates, a persistent stalker, a formidable criminal organization, and an unsupportive girlfriend.
Kathleen Kent is the author of two best-selling novels, The Heretic’s Daughter, for which she received the David J. Langum Sr. award for American Historical Fiction, and The Traitor’s Wife (published in hardcover as The Wolves of Andover).
