Levi Corrao has gathered a collection of songs on his self titled debut EP that give voice to the tension between our reality and the the people we desire to be. Carrao’s folk sensibilities and vocal strength are masterfully stitched together, striking the listener and leaving us wanting more. He delves into his own struggle to be present during the pressure of life; the tensions of growth and identity, of love and pain, of land and sea. The album beautifully articulates that regardless of the pathway before each of us, the passage of time rolls onward and we can only reflect his lyrics; “oh no not I. that’s not me. anymore.”
St.Yuma is the culmination of 3+ years of writing by indie/folk singer Stevan Alva, a California native currently residing in Dallas, TX. Rather than convey a single story, St.Yuma’s debut album seeks to cultivate images inspired by a moment and share it with the listener. It is the hope of the artist that each projection takes on different meanings depending on what each listener brings to the table. “My gift to the listener is for them to take my imagery and create meaning in it for themselves. Nothing would affirm my success as an artist more, than if someone heard my song and felt something they’ve never felt before.”-St.Yuma
