We’ve partnered with The Kessler School to put together a fundraiser event around Education. It’ll be a special day for the little ones, and hopefully, an insightful evening for the grown ups, regarding a topic that affects all of us: the education of our children. Drinks will be poured after that till last parent standing. There is a suggested donation of $10 that’ll help The Kessler School to build a new library.

    EVENT II: Grown-up Evening
4:30pm: Labor Day Sunday Conversation + Cocktail Party @ Wild Detectives. A dialogue about education for our Kids in the Cliff.

THEME: Education is critical to the success of our community. Please join us for a dialogue about education featuring a panel of educators, school system administrators and passionate parents who will discuss:
    – What our children need to be ‘future ready’
    – The critical role parents play in preparing our children for the future
    – The education options and progress of schools in the North Oak Cliff community

    Panelists:
Audrey Pinkerton, DISD District 7 Trustee
Christian Chernock, Education Advocate and parent of a school-aged son in Oak Cliff
Howard Atkinson, Literacy Specialist from The Kessler School
Kimberly Alex, Educator from Richardson ISD
Vicky Sanz, Bi-lingual Educator from Mesquite

The panel will be moderated by Josh Kumler from Bar Politics.

The panel starts at 4:30pm and will be followed by a cocktail party where you can continue the conversation, or start new ones…

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to help The Kessler School build a new library for the school.

Tickets are NOT required to enjoy the day. The suggested donation for each event is $10 and will help us keep track of supplies to get and to make a contribution to the school’s library fund. You can donate here.

Please join us and help a good cause in the community. Thank You.
